Winner of the prestigious Respighi Prize and laureate of numerous international competitions, Italian-Swiss violinist Irene Abrigo has performed and collaborated with leading institutions, soloists, and premiered works by renowned contemporary composers. Known for her expressive sound, technical mastery, and artistic versatility, she brings depth to both classical and modern repertoire.
Mentored by acclaimed artists such as Corina Belcea, Heinz Holliger, Enrico Onofri, and Jürg Dähler, she has developed a refined and personal musical vision. Highlights of the 2025–2026 season include her third appearance at Carnegie Hall with the Chamber Orchestra of New York and Maestro Salvatore Di Vittorio, as well as a chamber music tour with Heinz Holliger and the Swiss Chamber Soloists. Beyond the stage, she is deeply committed to cultural outreach, education, and social responsibility, using music as a powerful tool for connection and change.
